Kokedama
The art of kokedama literally translates from "koke" meaning moss and "dama" meaning ball.
This moss ball has experienced a resurgence as a modern art form useful for uniquely presented plants and flowers.
They are hand made using a particular type of clayey soil.
The moss used to contain roots, it's not just a brilliant decor idea but also a micro ecosystem able to protect the soil from sudden changes in temperature and to withstand periods of drought.
The kokedama are watered down by vaporizing them or immersing them in basins of water for a few minutes and the game is done and if you have patience and care for your plants you will see its roots anchored to the moss.
